I have used this multiswitch in a couple different installations with my DirecTV and it has always performed flawlessly. I can't speak to its reliability when installed outdoors, as I have always used it in the attic, but it has endured in spite of the temperature and humidity extremes up there. The "feel" of it is solid and gives the impression of a quality product. A nice feature is that it comes with caps to go over the unused ports to keep dust and moisture out, so if I ever need to add another cable run, there will be a clean reliable connection. This multiswitch is a must if you have a DVR and need to run 2 cables to the box. It is also much superior to a standard splitter on single-cable runs too. I highly recommend it for any satellite installation.
