I bought this because I needed to split my coax line to run to my HD box and my cable modem. I had been worried about losing signal quality/speed from running a splitter. I was getting about 50-70mbps over wireless pre-splitter, and this did not change after installing the splitter. No signal loss, and the picture/response time on the HD box is perfect.
